BioTreks follows an annual publication cycle, which begins by students proposing abstracts and drafting manuscripts to present at an online peer-review conference in May. Following the conference, authors revise their manuscripts and work with editors to prepare them for publication in an October issue of the journal. More details can be found in the Guide to Authors. The following table gives a more detailed breakdown of these events as they will unfold during the current publication cycle.
In 2021, we will be asking teams to contribute $60 to register for the online conference and $90 to publish an accepted manuscript. These charges will help us sustain and improve the program in the coming years.
